First Trimester Ultrasound Scans: Early Insights into Pregnancy
First trimester ultrasound scans are typically performed between 6 and 12 weeks of pregnancy to confirm the pregnancy, check the baby’s heartbeat, estimate gestational age, and assess early development. These scans provide vital information about the health of both mother and baby, helping to detect multiple pregnancies or potential complications early on.
In addition to ultrasound, we provide prenatal genetic testing such as Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) can be done from as early as 10 weeks to screen for chromosomal conditions like Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, and Patau syndrome. Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Testing (NIPPT) is also available from as early as 7 weeks, using a blood sample from the mother and a DNA sample from the alleged father to determine paternity safely and accurately without risk to the pregnancy.

Prenatal Genetic and Paternity Tests
NIPT with Ultrasound scan (from 10 weeks) £410
Our Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) with Ultrasound Scan offers a safe and highly accurate way to screen for common chromosomal conditions such as Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, and Patau syndrome from as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy. This combined service includes a simple maternal blood test and a detailed ultrasound scan to assess your baby’s development and provide additional reassurance. The ultrasound complements the genetic testing by confirming fetal heartbeat, growth, and anatomy, making this a comprehensive early screening option for all expectant parents.
NIPT advanced with Ultrasound scan (from 10 weeks) £645
Our NIPT Advanced with Ultrasound scan is a comprehensive early pregnancy screening that combines advanced genetic testing with a detailed ultrasound for a thorough assessment of your baby’s health. This test screens for Down’s Syndrome (Trisomy 21), Edward’s Syndrome (Trisomy 18), Patau’s Syndrome (Trisomy 13), as well as other Autosomal Aneuploidies (AA) and Sex Chromosome Aneuploidies (SCA). Performed from 10 weeks of pregnancy, it involves a simple maternal blood test alongside a high-resolution ultrasound scan to confirm fetal heartbeat, growth, and development. Gender determination is also available as an optional part of the test, offering expectant parents early reassurance and detailed insights into their baby’s wellbeing.
NIPPT Scan (from 7 weeks) £925
Non-invasive prenatal paternity testing (NIPPT) and scan can be performed as early as 7 weeks into pregnancy, offering a safe and accurate way to determine biological paternity without risking the health of the mother or baby. This test analyzes free-floating fetal DNA found in the mother's blood and compares it with a DNA sample from the alleged father. Unlike invasive procedures like amniocentesis, NIPPT poses no miscarriage risk and can provide results within a week. Often paired with an early pregnancy scan, this process can also confirm fetal development, heartbeat, and gestational age, giving expectant parents reassurance and essential information early in pregnancy.
