Breast Scans

We offer Private Breast Ultrasound Scans in a calm and welcoming environment. Whether you're attending for general breast health or monitoring breast implants, our experienced sonographers provide clear, supportive care tailored to your needs.

Ultrasound is a safe and effective method for assessing breast tissue.

Breast implants:

Ultrasound can help evaluate the surrounding tissue and the appearance of the implant, but it may not detect all types of complications. MRI may be more suitable in some instances.

Our scans are designed to complement, not replace, any imaging or investigations recommended by your healthcare provider. If anything concerning is seen during your scan, we’ll advise you to follow up with your GP or specialist.

Breast and underarm:

For general breast health, monitoring breast implants, or investigating underarm lymph nodes, our experienced sonographers provide clear, supportive care tailored to your needs.

What We Scan:

  • Both breasts and underarms: A full scan includes the breast tissue and lymph nodes in the armpits, helping to identify lumps, cysts, or other changes.

  • With implants, we assess the surrounding tissue and the implant's appearance. Ultrasound can detect signs of rupture, leakage, or capsular contracture; however, MRI may be more suitable for assessing deeper or intracapsular issues.

  • Without implants, Ultrasound is ideal for evaluating breast lumps, dense tissue, or areas of concern. It can help distinguish between solid masses and fluid-filled cysts.

What Ultrasound Can & Can’t Do

Ultrasound is a safe and effective imaging tool, but it has limitations. It may not detect all abnormalities, such as microcalcifications or subtle changes that are better identified through mammography or biopsy. For implant patients, ultrasound is a helpful first-line scan, but MRI may be recommended for a more detailed assessment.
